Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland and is located in north-central Switzerland at the northwestern tip of Lake Zürich. Zürich is a hub for railways, roads, and air traffic. Most of Zürich’s sites are located within the area on either side of the Limmat river, between the Main railway station and Lake Zürich. The churches and houses of the old town are clustered here, as are the most expensive shops along the famous Bahnhofstrasse. The Lindenhof in the old town is the historical site of the Roman castle, and the later Carolingian Imperial Palace.
There is are many great places to visit while in Zurich, we recommend you just take a walk along the Bahnhofstrasse all the way to the lake then cross the bridge and come back along the Limmat river or any of the narrow streets in the area, do some windows shopping or actually buy something nice if your budget allows as this city is expensive, take a trip on one of the great boats on the lake Zurich, another place not to miss is the Zurich Zoo with some fantastic displays, also enjoy the great many excellent restaurants available here to delight even the top gourmets.
